the whole thing about treadmill vs outdoor running..
running outside just seems to provide some mental/spiritual therapy, as you look at your surroundings and nature while you run..
and just like when you have to get used to people looking at you while your in the ring sparring/competing, running outside sort of provides that imo.

You should always warm up before you start especially if you live in the north and its winter time. You need to dress correctly depending on the weather you need appropriate foot wear for your needs also. Warming up is part of being an athlete and definetly a boxer. Theres no activity a boxer starts with that doesn't have a warm up with it. When you spar you should be lightly shaddowing out and atleast have a sweat broken. No one goes in the ring without breaking a sweat if you do you need to re-evaluate your method. You need warm muscles to eliminate any possibility of strains and pulls. In the winter months you want to keep some heat in so a wool hat is a good idea and you can control your body heat by keeping heat in or releasing through the top of your head. I know of NO boxer that I've worked with and/or trained that doesn't warm up before an activity that is demanding on their bodies. If your going out to distance and your not adding sprints to the run you can start out with walking and slight stretching but either way warm ups are a must. Any fighter worth their salt takes care of the bodies and does nothing to slow training or hamper their learning sessions. Ray.

for or against wearing sweat suits? heard people saying they just de-hydrate you and you cant run as long, pointless and a dangerous way of cutting weight?

Trigger happy!
What is a good time schedule to keep for someone who might still be getting a little winded on their runs?
In order to see good steady improvement what are a few of the things I need to do to really increase my productivity?
How fast should I be running?
