I don't know about any bearing on asthma, but I take the following vitamins:
Mon: Multivitamin plus iron (basically everything hits or exceeds your daily recommended amount)
Tue: Vitamin E pill
Wed: Vitamin C & Zinc
Thur: As for Mon
Fri: As for Tue
Sat: Vitamin B complex to help with my long run
(I get them from Tesco if that helps!)
From what I gather vitamin B is very useful to the athlete's energy systems, but I only take it once weekly as it does have a bit of a smell to it and it turns your urine lime green!!!
Always keep your iron levels topped up, you know you'll need a boost if your sh## is very light coloured and you feel sluggish.
Vitamin C keeps the pirate scurvy away and is good for the immune system.
Zinc / Vitamin E are both good for cell repair.
If you are training hard you really need to be at the very least eating one gram of protein a day for each Kg of body weight. So you should probably start looking at the labels on food. Tinned Salmon/Tuna/Peanut butter all have high % of protein per 100g servings.
Taking everything into account, there is no substitute for hard work though...

Not sure regarding your asthma, I personally can't see how a multi-vit would effect it but it's best you ask your doctor.
I personally use Super Vit-Pak or Universal nutritions Animal-Pak, both of which are pretty damn good
(If you don't mind swallowing horse pills)
