this is a video i filmed for my health project, you'll see my coach doing ****** shi!t while im trying to film. idk he is funny, but he does lack aggressiveness.

skip to 1:08 to see my basic routines, and if you guys could give some opinions about the gym that'll be great. even if you guys say the gym sucks, don't worry, i'm ok. i agree with that 200%.

Your coach seems like a good guy but a little goofy.
That shadowboxing should be called shadowshadowboxing. You don't commit to the punches and barely throw them while you shadowbox and repeat the same thing over and over while standing on the same spot.
You look very stiff so work on being more relaxed. The pad work your coach did with you was so horrible slow.
Your coach pick the pads up like 5 sec between every jab and a occasional 1-2.
And you wonder why you punch slow XD ?
I don't know if this is true or not but I got the feeling he babied you a little bit. Not only with the sparring but with other things.
You don't seem to be confident in your punches(the reason why you punch slow). You trained for 8 months and your Coach refuse to teach you nothing but 1-2's and not letting you spar :/.
That is why it looked like you were "over thinking"(for the lack of a better word) when you were doing work on the heavybag. You need to relax more and let your hands go on the heavybag.

Sorry for being harsh thats just the way I am bro

i think your doing to much shadowboxing other than that its a decent workout, just work on the way your working the heavybag, can't criticise the pads since i didn't see much

yeah, my shadowboxing sucks i always focus on my footwork and not my punches cause my coach told me to do that. im really worried if my hands go out faster than my feet/hips since my coach always criticized the fact that my hands are faster than my legs and told me never work on agility until now. being more relaxed?? no one ever told me that lol. will defenently work on that. seriously, i need a better gym

Now see that is ******ed. That is exactly why you seemed to overthink your punches and lacked the confidence in them. That is exactly why your punches are slow.
Your coach is giving you misleading advice and over complicate things making you tense up and being overly careful of not doing wrong.
              Horrible, horrible, horrible coaching.
You are not supposed to think about how your "hips" are positioned or that your hands are faster then your legs(Jesus christ how ****ing ******ed is that??) you're supposed to let punches come naturally.
When you think about throwing a jab you waste 1-2 sec and lose the opportunity. It's like playing COD with delay.

yeah, i 100% agree with you my coach's teaching SUCKS. he concentrate on the basics too much that seeks for perfection everytime people throw a one-two. like your hands are even a bit faster than your legs, he immediately just makes you work on the one-twos the whole time. i mean it is a good thing to stick tho the basics but i think its a bit too much.

Nobody commented on the heavy bag scene yet so i will, its a bag full of sand. It doesn't have feelings, it doesn't have family, and its not gonna cry if you wail on it. Now this doesn't mean go full ****** or anything, always make sure your form is good, but after that's accomplished **** that bag up man **** it up so hard you think your gonna put your hand through it. (Unless your doing speed drills of course)

Of course this is only my opinion and if someone more qualified disagrees just disregard what i posted
