my advice, check into the soft martial arts. in many areas, it can be hard to find a good teacher though, so do your homework. or you could just ask me.

the soft(soft doesn't mean wimpy) arts make for a superior combination with boxing.

are you referring to a power clean?

in all honesty ive never actually used that technique myself, but a lot of people i train with do and it seems to be pretty effective.

also, a couple ways to work on breathing endurance are...
breathe only through your nose when you run. someone mentioned in another thread that running with water in your mouth helps you do this.

practice holding your breath. its kind of wierd, but enough practice will expand your lung capacities and oxygen efficiency.

swim. swimming alone will increase your breathing efficiency, plus there are lots of types of swimming training that can help you areobically or anerobically.

one more thing, practice high intensity combos in sparring or on a heavy bag for like 30 seconds at a time. enough practice, and your body will adjust naturally to the breathing difficulties.

i had to give u karma for that post.

Concentrate on keeping a steady breathing pace when sparring and running. Also, do about 10 minutes of sprints after practice. And twice a week, for your run, go to a track and run four 100m dashes, then four 400m sprints, then two 800m sprints. In between each sprint give yourself a 30 sec to one minute break (resembling the break between rounds). Then do a mile but jog the curves and sprint the straight aways. What this does is emulate flurries and combos during the fight.

After you do your mile run, do a couple more 100m dashes as soon after. This comes to a little more than 3 miles of interval sprints. Doing this twice a week for your run will greatly increase you recovery time.

            That's what I know.

ur fighting style, attitude and demeaner has alot 2 do with ur bearthing pattern i rekon. fast boxers normally make the esss esss sound when they punch similar to roy jones jr, Ali and Mundine. Big punchers and brawlers sorta use the emmmmmMMM sound, which is a nose type sound.
