I used to compete at TKD tournaments local and International and on that time like 2 years ago my weight was 204.6, I guess that I need to get back in track and start competing again.

The main idea of asking for a weight routine for cardio is that I really want to get back in TKD tournaments and face the best fighter in CR, by the way he is rank 4th in the world, I know I am asking tooo much and only have 9-10 month to get ready if I want to face him, but it is a personal goal that I really want to reach.

That's good advice. I like the gym as a supplement but you need to compete to get pushed to work harder and longer than you otherwise would.

That is completely true but I need to get in shape again and earn some more muscle cause in the heavy weight division they hit so fu**ing HARD, and It feels like a enormous hammer hitting your body, these people can break you a rib with a single kick.

the ****? How you gonna lose weight with a weight routine? There's a lot less painful/****** ways...

Try walking and running, and not eating so much. Tae Kwon Do is for squares. Get into a real man's sport, like polo or judo. Or BOXING.

No seriously, eat less food move more distance..

It is if you fight against people that weight 205, everything in taekwondo is leg's speed and power and 110% of stamina if you want to last 3 rounds of 3 minutes, I am talking only about physical condition, you need to take into consideration the experience, the strategy, the discipline and the guts and some other staff.

Are you ****ing kidding me? Tell me you're kidding me.

If you're serious, then dump it all.

                    Eat:

                    steamed, raw, or grilled vegetables
                    fresh fruit
lean meat, cooked any way except fried
                    whey protein
                    soup
                    whole grain pasta
                    steel cut oats
                    brown rice
                    black coffee or tea
water, at least 1/2 gallon a day
                    nonfat milk
                    vitamins

And nothing else. On Sundays, eat whatever you want.

Run in the mornings, 30 minutes to an hour, before eating. You will lose weight.

At your size you'll need to lift weights HARD for over an hour, or run for 20 minutes at an 8-minute mile pace, to burn the calories in 20 oz. of Coca Cola. If you don't change your diet you're setting yourself up for failure. Dump that ****.

OP- diet is the key to losing fat. Exercise is second place, lol, I know, CRAZY

I am 18 years old, 6'2'' on a good day, and at my heaviest was 245lbs (no muscle). So lucky for you, we were in about the same situation. There have been two major phases of weight loss for me.

                      1. stopped drinking soda and played tennis 4-7 days a week for an hour or 2. that's it. Went from 245 to 230, then the fat loss kind of just stopped. Took like 9 months though.

                      2. I started lifting weights and doing cardio (bike, treadmill) about a month ago. From a starting weight of 230, I have dropped to 209. So I have lost over 21 lbs of fat when you take into account the muscle gains (just about doubled my strength in all areas). I have had MUCH faster results, girls notice me more, my girlfriend hits on me more, all the good stuff that says I'm doing the right thing lol.

Oh, and with the new fitness plan I began eating well. I eat anywhere from 4-6 (depends on my schedule) SMALL meals a day--you should never feel like "wow I'm full" after a meal. I cut out ALL sweets, which was hard as hell at first, but it gets easier. Cut out all pre-prepped food, anything high in sodium, calories or fat, and drink LOTS OF WATER. Liquid calories are the worst kind-they are basically useless. I also drink one glass of OJ a day, thats about it. I have a protein shake after heavy lifting sessions, and take Jack3d before them. I like the boost that the caffeine and creatine give me, without the side effects and dependence like some other supp's.

I generally eat cereal in the morning, fresh fruit as a snack, a sandwich (uber thin low carb bread) for lunch, a banana as a snack, a protein shake after working out, then grilled chicken for dinner. (Thanks to George Foreman and his grill)

My workout schedule is as follows:

                      Mon- back/legs
                      Tues- arms
                      Wed- chest
                      Thurs- no lifting-cardio only
                      Fri- arms
                      Sat- back/legs
                      Sun- no lifting-cardio only

I run and bike every day, just for a bit longer on my days solely devoted to cardio.

In case you were wondering, my legs are really strong from biking so I don't need to work them too much, my back/legs days are just a bit longer than the others.

Good luck, I know this plan has been yielding great results for me. I'm hoping to get down to ~190

                      -Sean
