I plan to buy gloves for hitting the heavy bag.
After reading a couple of articles, I found out that the weight doesn't correspond to size. And that 14 to 16oz is ideal for hitting the heavy bag.
I checked for gloves on the mall and I found 3 brands, Everlast, Bulls, and Windy.
The sales person on different stores all refer to the size through their weight.
For example. The 8oz glove is small, the 10oz glove is bigger, and the 12oz glove is large.
I checked on the Everlast gloves. Instead of 'oz.' they have 'Ta' like 'Ta:8' , 'Ta:10', and 'Ta:12'. Each one is bigger than the other.
I also checked on the Bulls brand and they use 'oz.' but still I 8oz is smaller than 10oz.
The 8oz fits me well and the 10z is loose when I wear it. But if I'm going to buy gloves for heavy bag training then those weights are too light.
Please help me choose on what to buy.
btw, this is in the Philippines.
