Can't find Boxing Gloves by Size. I need help on choosing.

I plan to buy gloves for hitting the heavy bag.

After reading a couple of articles, I found out that the weight doesn't correspond to size. And that 14 to 16oz is ideal for hitting the heavy bag.

I checked for gloves on the mall and I found 3 brands, Everlast, Bulls, and Windy.

The sales person on different stores all refer to the size through their weight.
For example. The 8oz glove is small, the 10oz glove is bigger, and the 12oz glove is large.

I checked on the Everlast gloves. Instead of 'oz.' they have 'Ta' like 'Ta:8' , 'Ta:10', and 'Ta:12'. Each one is bigger than the other.

I also checked on the Bulls brand and they use 'oz.' but still I 8oz is smaller than 10oz.
The 8oz fits me well and the 10z is loose when I wear it. But if I'm going to buy gloves for heavy bag training then those weights are too light.

Please help me choose on what to buy.

btw, this is in the Philippines.

    14-16 oz is for sparring.

You can throw 12 in there I guess, for the much lighter weights, or kids. All are good for heavy bag work. I usually switch off 16 and 12oz for hitting the bag.

8oz and 10oz are for professional and amateur fights. 8oz are for welterweight and below, 10oz is everything else.

You wouldnt want to use 8oz gloves for bag work, maybe hitting the mits. They offer the least protection for your hands (obviously), unless theyre winning gloves.

    8-10oz gloves - fights.

    12-16oz gloves - training

But the problem is that 12 to 16 oz gloves are loose when I place my hand inside compare to 8 to 10 oz.

Wrap your hands, they will fit better whilst also providing extra support.

Okay, I have small hands I measured my hand and it's 7 and 1/4 inches from the tip of my middle finger to the line on my wrist. What size should I use for heavy bag training. By the way, the gloves I'm referring to are not actually Bag Gloves. Their just boxing gloves that they sell on the sporting store. The brands available are Bulls (cheap but look great), Twins, and Windy. This are the only ones I can find.
