Turn your jab into an eye gouge, then drop a hammerfist on the side of his neck, then finish him with a left hook to the ribs. Kick him in the face while he's down.

But yeah, punching in the head is not a great idea generally. Too easy to hurt yourself unless you really know what you're doing. That said, most people who don't know **** about fighting can be stopped with a solid shot to the nose. At the least, it'll make them lean over so you can grab their head and knee them.

If all else fails, just get wrist control and pull out your gun. It's VERY IMPORTANT that you pull out your gun.

I am currently training in boxing and have done martial arts I don't think boxing is AS good for self defense because it's not as versatile with kicks, knees, elbows, eye and throat strikes all of which are illegal in boxing but great for a street fight/self defense scenario. With that said a lot of boxers are stronger a lot of times tougher and have better conditioning than your typical martial artist.

kicks are rarely important in a street fight because they are hard to make contact with places that will do damage. and easy to conter. but grappling is definatly a concern. not many fights are fought standing up. even if they start that way. and as soon as someone realises you can punch he will just take you down and pull you yo peices on the floor

I'd get bullied a lot because I was always the smallest kid around. I use to punch at bigger guys like "Little Mac" from the NES Punch Out game lol. If they were tall I'd jump like him too.
maybe if you approach him from the back or side but if he's standing in front of you and is about to take your head of then a liver shot would make no sense, boxers in the ring have trouble executing that punch how hard would it be to execute if your adrenaline starts to rush.

one shot to the head will end any street fight against average joe. hit them in the corner of the eyes (to scare), bridge of the nose (people who dont box cant handle a broken nose), temples can do a bit of damage (still connected to your jaw muscles, so it ****s with ya) but i prefer the eyes, chin, jaw. when you close someone's eye with a hook they start to freak out. use feints, they work. pick up a leg, trip them, kick them. throw them over by grabbing their head... i donno. this ****'s easy. average joe toughguy is a ****in ***** who will crumple when his teeth get smashed out of his mouth. i dont even get into fights, ****s for kids.

Aim for anything but the forehead.

Just keep it simple. If he's bigger, get in and get out with clusters of 2 or 3 straight punches, and move laterally and don't attack from straight on.

If he isn't as big, move up on him with tight punches, mainly straights, and don't let up.

Even if he isn't big still stay on your toes to quickly change angles, move or run if need be.

If you get tangled up, knee the balls, especially if he's bigger.
I don't believe there is such a thing as dirty fighting out of the ring, however any ball shots should be your last resort, like if as I said you get tangled up or grabbed by a bigger dude.

If he goes to the ground, you need to make a judgement to keep attacking or not. Use discretion. If it is a one on one fight, and he has clearly had enough, leave him. If you have been jumped or it is a particuarly heated situation, kick or stomp him on the ground, but be careful of him grabbing your ankles and tackling you down (works pretty well) Don't punch him on the ground, you leave your self too open.

If he's kicking you while your down, try lunging for the ankles, or rolling with the kick and attempting to get up.

If he's on top of you on the ground, I don't know how to wrestle, so I would defntiely start fighting dirty, fishhook, eye gouge, use the butt of your palm to hit his nose.

Hit him in the kidney, will get him down and it is less likely for you to hurt the guy seriously which you never would benefit from.

Last time I got into a fight was last year, outside the club some gangster wannabes kept shout calling random people out so most guys they were calling out were either older men or little pretty boys that look like they can't fight. I fall under that category only I'm actually an amateur boxer, doing it since I was 9.
Long story short I stepped up to one of them and caught him with every punch in the book, he didn't even touch me other than when he tried to put me in a headlock I got out and caught him with jabs at will...when it was over he kept yelling that I hit like a b*tch but everyone saw me pick his ass apart with combos so it didn't matter what he said, he got his ass handed to him.
The point I'm trying to make is always have your fist closed tight and firm, but don't throw power punches because that's when you hurt yourself. As long as you tag your opponent with whatever you throw and make him miss, you win!

We have some decent body punchers in our gym, I see good body shots time to time. I've taken that liver shot before lol. My first sparring match. You're right it's not an easy shot to land though. You could always go for the chin or the eyes but just have a good fist when throwing the head shots.
