You must have a coach and or atrainer to answer all your questions. Face to face!there is no replacement for a trainer!if you really want to learn correctly from the start!Originally posted by ali bumaye View PostHey guys I am new to boxing which you
probably get a lot here. I am going to get my
membership after christmas and had a couple
of questions. 1) What size are acceptable in competition or
does it vary? I heard it was 12 to 14 oz. 2) I am thinking about getting 2 the following
pairs of gloves Tuf Wear training gloves for
sparring (16 or 18 oz), Ringside IMF's for
sparring, Title Gel Series, or the Tuf Wear
Super Bag gloves for the heavy bags. I am a
little worried that if I get the Tuf Wear Super Bag gloves there will not be enough padding
since they only come in 12 oz, is this a
problem? 3) Is a trainer completely necessary or can you
just get in the gym do some heavy bags, speed
bags, shadow boxing, and sparring without a
trainer? 4) Can I use my sparring gloves for
competition if i decide to compete in this sport
or do i need to get three pairs of gloves? One
for heavy bags, one for competition, and one
for sparring/shadow boxing?
