Ever box with friends ?

Do you guys ever get friends that want to box you and see what you got cause they know you box ? lol

I use to box with friends back in the High School days but I didn't know "actually boxing" back then.

Yes, one of my long time friends that i introduced to boxing started training with me about a year ago, he's a lazy pothead but to my suprise he comes to the gym often and really enjoys boxing.

We spar once in a while but i have to take it really easy on him, i'm a heavyweight and he's like 170 pounds of pure laziness. It's fun to spar him and let him hit me as hard as he can and just laugh at his ass.

He's not the first one of my friends to come to the gym and try out boxing but he is definitely the only one to tough it out, all of the other ones went "fck that ****" when they realized how demanding boxing really was.

I don't like to "hurt" my friends. But hitting them when the time is right I have no problem with. I've made some friends in the gym but I have no problem hitting them in sparring.

I meant old friends....just ain't fun. But new friends at gym is fun to hit =)

Ive sparred two friends, well sort of. Not in the gym but at their home. I didnt even wear headgear I obviously was not concerned about what was coming in return. None of them choose to come to the gym and get in the ring with me though.... Gym rule is 3 rounds minimum for sparring... I think they are worried about that.
