because when you box your want to stay light on your feet right?

also boxing shoes usually have minimal to zero midsole so you usually boxing on the balls of your feet

what better way to train for that than running virtually barefoot to strength your feet and calves???

    me and you both bro

i have been waiting for those shoes to come out for a while!!!

they look like just the kind of shoe i need

plus i love vibram soles and they have them on there
i tend to never veer away from saucony, but first it was the 5-fingas and now it seems like these NB's.

what kind of runs do you do? i typically sneak in a 6 1/2 miler early every weekend.

Well i play a lot of soccer during the week. Maybe like 3 times a week and the days i dont i run about 3 to 4 miles a day to keep my legs from getting sore so i can stay active. Usually on the weekends i got run the trails at the local forest reserve. Dunno how long that is but its pretty much day treks. Take my dog with me and make a day of it running, resting, hiking etc. Sunday is usually rest day.

As long as you don't have any problems. It's best to stick to what works for you. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It doesn't matter which running shoes I wear, I just try to keep in mind to land on my front foot/toes and try to stay away from the heels. It works out just fine.

As long as you are conscious about this, no need to buy those skeleton foot looking footwear. I wasn't conscious about this before but saw a documentary on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel and it got me thinking.

I started to do alot of jump rope to get my feet in shape for that type of running, and as you know you don't land on your heels when jumping rope.

                      very true

but since switching to a heeless shoe(because i cut it off), i never have to worry about heel striking

the added advantage to a minimalist shoe is less weight

                      to me less is better

but your right if you focus on running on your toes and practice until it becomes common then there is no need for a change in shoes

which also means there is no need to spend 150 dollars on super cushiony shoes

vibrams are only 75 and have more uses than running
