Your best bet is to get something in your stomach before you leave to school. try some plain oatmeal, it's great in fiber and has good complex carbs to get you enough energy through out the beginning of your day, and for a quick sandwich to take along would be a tuna sandwich on whole grain wheat bread should suffice, then again that depends on you're caloric needs, that's how you'll know how much oatmeal, and tuna sandwiches you'll need, and everything else for that matter.

remember to stick to a strict diet. it's about 70% of your results, the other 30 is split to 15% each in working out and rest, which are equally important, you need atleast 8 hours of sleep or more if possible, especially on workout days

If he's boxing, a Bodybuilding split is the last thing he should be doing!

You need proper strength training mate. Check out www.stronglifts.com or look out for a book called Starting Strength by Mark Rippotoe.
