youse dont get it, let me make it simple. i have a friend who has a hard punch if he hits ur stomach but wen he hits ppl's head u wud expect more damage. i think its becoz the impact is different, he has face impact punches which wud hurt the stomach but his punches dont have the type of force Foreman has, like pushing force so he can get ppl dropped. a punch cud be hard if hit on stomach but not so hard on head becoz the force is different and hasnt got enuf force to turn the chin but good external force( skine damage)

technique is important and the two punch are different. Your best body punch may never even equal 50% of your body punch.

Your friend's body punch is strong because he puts enough power in the punch, but maybe not enough speed, snap, or accuracy in the punch to the head. With the body he can throw it anywhere and being close to the body doesn't necesarily have to throw the punch correctly to hurt. He doesn't apply the right amount of power when the punch is extend with a blow to the head.

Again it's technique in the punch and putting enough snap at the end of the punch to bust someone's fast. I think focus mitts work really help and find the problem or improve a punch if it's not up to par. If you aren't feeling the punch power in the mitts you have to work on the technique and apply the power and leavarage correctly. Sometimes without a trainer are even with a decent trainer you may never resovle the problem. Some guys never really can throw certain punchs correctly
