  • punch bag?

i have a 4ft bag, its not great and is actually starting to break a bit.

but my question is, all the filling has gone to the bottom and i dont like it, it doesnt feel as heavy as it used to, if i put more filling inside it will it split? and what should i put in it?

i might just unzip the top and pull all the filling up and put some rags in

I guessing it has some kinda felt torn rags and stuff stuffing if so what i did was take most that out and restuffed it with old broken ankle weights and ziplock bags filled with sand that i had laying around. layering it i put some stuffing down a bag of sand and some more stuffing making sure to really shove the stuffing in around the sides of the bag of sand. about 7 layers later my bags about 100 lbs and very very solid from top to bottom.

I had a lot of hard spots on my 100lb Everlast Nevatear bag because all the sandbags become compressed over time. They also settle towards the bottom of the bag which makes throwing body shots very painful on the hands.

My solution: Unzip the heavy bag. Remove the cloth filling and sandbags. Loosen the hardened sand in all 10 sandbags. Wrap the sandbags in towels and then duct tape them. Fill up heavy bag up with the wrapped sandbags and as much cloth and you can put in. Note- Because the towels will use up much of the space, you shouldn't be able to put in all of the cloth filling.

My bag is so much better now and I'm glad I did this.
