creatine makes u bigger not stronger, its to hold water so your weight will go up. getting bigger without getting stronger isnt exactly what u look for as a boxer. keep in mind as u get bigger u will also get slower and have less stamina. using creatine is basicly the dumbest thing u can do, u might aswell start throwing ricky hatton hooks, get a face tattoo and call yourself a mixed martial "artist" < (lol)
    Bull**** alert.

You only gain weight if you consume more calories than you burn. I've been stacking creatine with beta alanine and citrulline malate for 5 weeks now and I lost 2 pounds since I started, and my strength and muscular endurance have both increased. Not by a whole lot of course, they're just supplements, not AAS.

if you don't want any added benefits from creatine aside from its bodybuilding properties then its your loss.
Well you will not have to look for more than 30 seconds to see that it is primarily for building muscle mass. Finding a source to support your opinion may take some more time, if that's what you're referring to.

I was thinking of taking some creatine as im starting to work out alot more..

Im just under 5,11ft and recently blown up alot over the last year from 180 being pretty trim and fit (not a huge amount of upper body muscle). Now im 210 my upper body looks a bit bigger but im not as toned and packed on a lot of weight on my legs mainly.

So i have taken up running/a little lifting and boxing (hitting heavy bag lol) 4-5 times a week for 1 hr to 1hr 30 im noticing some improvements allready. But if my aim is to drop weight from my legs/Chest/Stomach should i not be taking creatine? i say this cause i have read alot of different things on it

Will i be able to improve my upper body and still drop weight on said areas providing im not eating to much?

Also, another creatine out there is CON CRET. No loading phase, and no cycling on or off. http://con-cret.com/

Some of you guys on here have somethings all wrong. For instance, for those who are doing a loading phase (20g of creatine a day), you will get that bloated feeling, as that much creatine will make you look bigger, as a result of the all the water in your muscles. 20g a day is not required if you're just looking for over all strength and endurance. 5g is plenty, on top of whatever your body makes from the certain foods you eat. i.e. steak, chicken, and some fish. The one creatine product to stay away from, is MuscleTechs CELLTECH. 80% dextose surgar. You're just asking for diabetes.

                  Great post.

For that matter, do not buy anything from MuscleTech.

Use optimum nutrition gold standard for whey
for a casein protein use cytosport muscle milk
for creatine and No I like Gaspari products

Thanks. However, I have to warn you about CytoSport's MuscleMilk. Read the label on the back. Has around 300 calories, and 110 of those calories come from fat. I know it tastes good. Believe me, I know. Probably the best tasting protein shake on the market, but it's not that good for you. The Casein from MuscleMilk, never had that. Just so you know, Casein was used at one time to make glue.

As for MuscelTech. Yeah, they're products are all hype. Plus, not only are they WAY over priced, but over the years, the contents in the tubs that they sell(creatine, protien) have decreased more and more. Yet, you're stilling paying the outragous prices they stick on it.

If you're cutting, I would not recommend MuscleMilk. Casein protein is a slow absorbing protein that is good to take before bed as it will slowly absorb and repair muscle tissue while you sleep.

It is 350 calories, but keep in mind that if taken as a meal replacement, and when used as such it isn't too bad considering that even when mixed with milk it's only around 500 calories, which isn't too large of a meal.
