used to do it... but I prefer boxing over muay thai... I'm not going to bash muay thai ..because it is pretty dope.
But you can't beat the sweet science..plus most muay thai guys I know in my area have pretty bad standup lol since a lot of the muay thai gyms here are mcdojos...but there are a lot of legit mma gyms.
i do a little MT here and there. they offer it in our gym and i pay for it so why not just do it once in a while.
its fun, but they dont have any boxing skills. they are more worried about clinching and kicking and all that stuff.
the training is different. not tougher, not more demanding or whatever, just different. they focus a lot more on the legs and flexibility and all that stuff. sparring sucks too because you cant really have any intense sparring since knees and elbows arent even allowed. and youre only allowed to kick with these bigass shin guards. and since they cant punch theres nothing really left

but like i said its still fun
Go to the motherland of Muay Thai (Thailand) and the sparring will be 100 times more tougher than most gyms in North America haha... those guys don't **** around.
I do them both. They both offer different tools to be used. In Muay Thai you learn obviously fighting with all your limbs, but also you learn to fight in the clinch and utilize your knees and elbows as well as sweeps and throws.
Boxing, where it lacks the various strikes from other body parts, makes up for it with much better footwork, hands, defense, and head movement.
All in all though, boxing supplements Muay Thai more than Muay Thai supplements boxing.
