Workouts that make you feel manly.

    RAWWWWRRRRR!!!!!

I wanted to put together a list of workouts that are tough. Not tough as in "Oh yeah me and my buddies do that after sparring each day." Im talking "Man I vomitted up a big pink piece of something, but I dont feel anything missing so I think ill be alright."

You guys know the ones I'm talking about. The ones that take you two or three days to recover when you are first doing them, the ones where its bragging to say you were able to simply complete it. The ones where when you are done and trying to catch your breath and not dry heave, you have so much testosterone flowing through your veins you want to put your head through a wall and make sweet love to a harem of movie stars?

I only know a few and need more.

The 100 burpee challenge, for time. How quickly can you do 100 burpies? Most well in shape people were able to complete it in 8 minutes. Thats 4.8 seconds for each burpee for 100 straight. Try with the 50 burpee challenge first for those who need a goal to go for.

The 300 challenge, for time. One of my favorites. 10 pushups, 10 squats, 10 situps, 10 times in a row without rest. Heart works hard the whole time, LOVE IT!

Pills. I personally hate this one (hating a workout = love a workout) run up a hill as fast as you can, (big enough to take at least 10 seconds to get up) and jog back down it, do 5 burpees or just pushups if you dont have the energy, and run back up. 10 sets of super awesome sexy.

Anyone else have killer workouts that they only dare do only once or twice a week?

Ever do burpees after a 6 mile run?

I swear it must be tougher than giving birth.

              tabata x2

Tabata (20 seconds on 10 seconds off, for 8 rounds for each exsersize)

              Burpees
              wall balls
              deadlifts
              chest to bar pull ups
              knees to elbows
              box jumps
              burpees

takes roughly 40 minutes and is a killer

Also 35 rounds of cindy is pretty brutal

                  "Tabata Something Else"

Complete 32 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest where the first 8 intervals are pull-ups, the second 8 are push-ups, the third 8 intervals are sit-ups, and finally, the last 8 intervals are squats. There is no rest between exercises.

Post total reps from all 32 intervals to comments.

Holy tap dancing buddhist soccer announcer! I have got to do that one.

Seems crossfit is a huge advocate of workouts like this, thanks for the example.
