Seriously, if u dont want to 'take' anything potentially harmful. Find exactly what bothers/stresses/makes u depressed and cut it completely out of ur life. Its the only thing that worked 4 me. Completely cut it out, its hard and takes will power but its for your own health!! which is the most important thing u have. If you cant cut it out completely, change it, if its something u want or need work towards it. Keep yourself busy so u dont have time to think too much. Exercise regularly, get fresh air, sleep well and drink plenty water.

      REMEMBER FIT BODY FIT MIND!!

ps. I used to have severe problems at home with my dad, SEVERE PROBLEMS. Depressed isnt the word. Anyway things got so bad one day i just left. Have never seen or spoken to him since, 3 years. It sound bad but in reality its the best thing i have ever done. Am the happiest & healthiest iv ever been, no problem to worry about. The longer **** goes on the longer it takes to recover from it. Be strong and try to build ur confidence up. DONT LET NOBODY SHOOT YOU DOWN. Have faith peace

It could worsen it...I know from experience. Learned my lesson. I don't know, the effects of weed aren't good to me so I've stopped smoking. I used to suffer very badly from depression and anxiety. still do but not as bad. I'm better these days. it's important to find a good Psychiatrist to talk to. Anxiety and Depression can be helped with medication but its also important to have a passion or a hobby of some sort. In my case its boxing, skateboarding, video games, and working out.

This really should be discussed with your doctor since it could be a medical condition and many of us aren't properly qualified (including myself). However, one popular, legal over the counter drugs that is commonly recommended for anxiety/depression is Saint John's Wort. In some countries medical doctors prescribe this herb for anxiety/depression. However with many anti-depressants drugs it takes several weeks maybe a couple months before you notice the effects of drugs. Also suggest psychotherapy since this could help and psychotherapy seems to be more effective in long-term treatment for anxiety than simply taking prescription drugs alone. And don't forget daily exercise and eating healthy will also great fight depression and reduce anxiety.

Whatever you do, don't start boxing. There is nothing more frustrating than a crying boxer in the ring, we've seen Golota, Oliver McCall and others, that's not a pretty thing.
