    My kneecaps are ****ed up

Here in my gym we work alot on our legs. Might I even say the most? in our training routines. We do alot of squats and explosive jumps and many explosive movements while crouched down. It's starting to take a strain on my kneecaps it hurts when I walk it's been like that for a week. Especially when I'm bent at the knees and loading up on shots. It's the muscle right under the kneecaps.

Do you know how I could get it better or even perhaps what it might be?

First of all it may be your form on squat. I swear in most gyms 90% of people can't do a squat with proper form. So that may be one reason.

Secondly. How often do you workout your legs? You may be overtraining them

It could be an issue with ligaments or it could be something like shin splints.

    Go to your doctor.

It's not shin splints it's the small joint between the kneecap and the shin.
I train it 3 days a week. It's more pain I think from bouncing around while bent at knees.

How old are you? I know as a teen you can get growing pains their. Try putting some tape around the area, this seems to help. You see alot of basketball players doing this.

Outside of the gym ice it.

Take a week off and then see how you feel. If it's still bad then you should see a doctor. If it feels good then you were probably overtraining, in which case you should work your legs less often.

I don't know how many sets and reps you're doing, but 3 times per week is probably too much. Most people only work each body part once per week with about 12 sets each time. Some do less than that and still gain strength and muscle mass.

i'd go see a pediatrist, a lot of knee problems start in the feet.

sounds like "Patellar Tendonitis" (jumpers knee)

I would strongly suggest taking a Glucosamine & Chondroitin supplement. I had a lot of problems with pains around my shoulder until I started taking a high quality supplement. Funnily enough I have a dislocated kneecap atm so I'll no doubt be suffering some kind of reccuring injury in the future....I know your pain I take 3 "Healthspan Chondromax" Daily. Hope this helps mate.
