i think if you have good power and decent handspeed, you could do good with that

speed for sure. If you got legit speed, chances are you got power to. By legit speed I mean velocity, not those short little arm punch flurries.

don't you guys think that the "punchers are born, not made" saying is flawed?

i mean think of Tommy Hearns..He's not a born puncher. just look at the dude!!!!!

he's a toothpick!!! But Steward taught him that leverage makes power

      good feedback bros

Neither. You need mixture of both to succeed. But power will take you further without refining your skills.
If your all speed, that wont make you great or take you far.
If your all power, you will faulter when you start fighting legit challengers.

Punchers aren't born. They are made.

From personal experience I am light handed. I used to not be able to generate power for **** in my hands(my legs were on point). Then after taking my MA in a different direction, I can generate a ton of power. All while still being light handed.

In short, if it wasn't for sparring a friend(who is a boxer), I still would all be speed in the hands and power in the legs.

Yep, only stopped six opponents out of around 155 fights apparently.

nice bro...i used used to have moderate power and terrible handspeed, but after i started shadowboxing, i'm boxing much smoother, and making my footwork better has helped my power

At the end of the day Speed and Power is just tools for you to win the fight but it does not guarntee a win.

Which put to my point. It not about speed or power but it how you could use it against other fighters.

if you are quick on the leg and ur strategy is to put pressure on the contender i say power, other wise speed . at low level a punch is always effective..at high levels u don't go anywhere with no power
