Extreme Diet

Every post in the thread told you your diet was horrible yet you did it anyways. Then you tried sparring when you were dehydrated and could have got really hurt and now you are blaming other people for your ******ity. Why in the high hell would you eat around 1200 calories with no water after running 7 miles and boxing and expect it to work? Wake up and lose weight like everyone else here did; eating a responsible diet and drinking lot's of water, dehydrating to make weight is what professional's do to lose weight before the fight. They do it to make weight the day before then they re-hydrate back to their regular weight, not permanently dehydrate themselves… Why you would try to lose all your "water weight" is a great mystery. And why in the high hell are you going to a gym where the coach has you doing the chicken dance in round one and continuing sparring into round two? If you want to box you’re going to have to be much more responsible than trying to lose 15lbs in a few days by dehydrating yourself and then starving yourself... Wake up and do some research on a balanced diet.

@ DeepSleep: Nah man, look at the post times. It looks like he'd already begun the diet the day before, then asked about it. Your post is pretty much on point though.
@ PtP: Your coach was dangerously vague on the topic of your weight, if all he said was he wanted you to fight in the 141 pound division, so he should take the bulk of responsibility. But I doubt, he thought you were gonna go on the Nicole Ritchie diet and ****. You need to take upon some of that responsibility.
Man if you get up daily and run 7 miles and then go to the boxing gym, you're ahead of the game. You'll be in optimum conditioning in no time. Running 7 miles, a 2-3 hour session, and a balanced diet would get you down to whatever weight you want to fight at.
The diet was definitely ******. As you realized, dehydration is no joke and dangerous. Chalk this one up as a lesson learned, take your 1 month break from sparring, but keep training, and find a good, smart diet that works for you.

when you dont drink much water you body tends to store all it can get because it thinks your low on water. your best bet would be to drink like a gallon of water a day that way your body sees that your not lacking in water and you have access to it at any time.
one of the main reasons for headaches is dehydration. one of the main reasons for hang overs is dehydration. cutting out water or cutting back on water is one of the worst possible ideas ever for some one exercising with a goal of actual improvement. if you have a headache i recommend you drink a glass of water then drink another glass of water with an advil.
