I seem to use it the most when I'm sparring one of the guys in my gym who is a southpaw to counter his right jab. The punch is made even harder if he steps in with the jab.

Alot of times he doesn't even see the punch coming because he's looking at my head and his right arm is blocking his view of my low left. He just throws a hard jab and gets smoked in the ribs. haha

But that's more of an advanced move because if you **** up the shoulder roll you're going to eat a right hand to the face.

Another counter that is good for people just starting out is duck/slip outside and throw a straight right to the body then pivot and come up with a left hook to the head, and finish with a right straight to the head if you can.
Yeah don't try the shoulder roll while sparring because some guys will probably hit you with a hard right hand if you do it wrong. Try to practice it with a friend, and after countless hours of practice try it in the ring, but only with someone that you can trust, and who you know won't take advantage of you if you're hurt, because you could get stunned by a right hand

Bob the right hand, Pivot to your right, and from there you can set up your own right, and can follow it with a hook, and uppercutt, which is a beautiful combination. Alot of guys don't know how to deal with this because they're not used to angles from my experience. I hope you understood me. Try to practice this though before you do it in the ring because you could get your ass kicked if you do it wrong.

Picture Tyson moving his head to the right after his opponent throws the right hand, but afterwards pivot to the right as soon as you move your head, and boom catch the dude.

You can also weave under the right hand and pivot to the right at the same time, and catch him with a right uppercut, and follow it up with a left hook.

Remember try Slipping and weaving to the right, but try to always pivot to the right at the same time, and catch him. Personally I try to catch the guys with a right uppercut after this maneuver. The choice is up to you. TS if you do this right you will have some success in the ring when sparring because seldom do I see anyone working the angles where I train.
let me know what you think
