Training gear for 10 year old kid
11-12-2009, 10:57 PM
I will start my older kid in boxing. I'd like to know some advice and the type of gear that I should get, gloves size, head protection, hand wraps size, etc.
Any info will be welcome !

get him some 10oz for bag work, 12's or 14's depending on how big of a 10 year old he is, for sparring.
I like everlast's proffessional line, especially the new protex 2 and 3. Don't get the cheap stuff.
It may seem like a lot of money, but it's nothing compared to a full set of Hockey gear etc.

LOL, just get some wraps from ring side or wherever and a mouth piece. Let him train for a few months and decide if boxing is for him.
