there is a new book on him with alot of daily training info. they did train alittle harder than most did later on, even in the 20s, but they should have fought more often. they did train very hard and of course without head gear and mouthpieces. they were tough, very tough cause they had to be, today, not quite as tough. tough enough

14 miles is good to stay in shape.

a day? no but it still good to do 2 times out the week

Looks in good shape, but some of those things sound bogus. Plus Jeffries was really not much of a boxer, he was mauling bear like kind of fighter

14 miles a day, assuming he has off twice a week thats pretty good. 14 miles really isnt that much especially at only 7 miles per hour. plus he's not running on hard pavement but ground instead dirt and gravel roads though it might have been more difficult to run its still less of an impact on his knees.

besides that this routine is probably what he was doing around the peak of his training camp probably 7 or 8 weeks in and only needing to keep up with the routine for another 4 or 5.

i severly doubt it was bs he regularly fought 20+ round fights and was a supposed "genetic freak" so its really not that hard to believe

hes pretty light on his feet for a heavyweight on a 6 year break shedding 100+ pounds

totally agree, and alternating that with sprints to make it even worse. Its crazy!
