    how frustrating...

    Hello boxingscene,
Anyways last week I made a post about wanting to start boxing and how I weighed 250.

Well in actuality I weighed 266... but I just rounded it to the nearest 50 hahaha. Anyways, I've been working hard everymorning getting up to run 2 miles, and yesterday I ran 3... I jump rope after the run, then I eat, the an hour or two later I go to my local fitness gym(not a boxing gym)

Anyways, I've gotten down to 258.... but my body has stalled on me for the last 3 days and its frustrating considering how much work im putting in with working out and having a lot less food than I normally did when I was a fat dude... well, im still fat... but not for much longer hopefully.

Anyways, for u guys that train on a consistent basis, do u know why my bodys not letting go of the weight?

Muscle weighs more then fat and it takes more then a week or even a month to lose weight just keep weighing your self everyday and make sure it keeps dropping.

8 pounds in a week is pretty good i'd say.

When you say your body doesn't let you train, you mean that you are sore? If thats the case thats normal, you will always be a little sore when you work out hard but since you just started it's worst. Just give your body a day to rest. You don't have to train 7 days a week, start with 3 or 4.

Like Ylem said, you will also gain muscle, and muscle weights more than fat but you will still be going down in weight dont worry.

Personally i train 6 days a week, with 2 of those days being light training.

answer these questions,do you eat at mcdonalds?more than once a day?7 days a week?if you answered yes to all then you have found your answer,to lose weight you must not only train properly but the diet is even more important than the training in itself

Kaz, weigh yourself every 2 weeks.

You'll see a bigger difference thus you'll be more motivated and happy with the results.

Thanks guys. I weighed in this morning at 257. I lost a pound since yesterday, sweet!

Anyways, I've broken the rut I was in.

              Ummm, no... I don't eat at McDonalds...LOL!

Demise, you're right, man. Instead of weighing myself everyday im going to weigh myself every week. 2 weeks is just too big of a gap to not know what's going on with my weight.

              Thanks again, amigos!

your body just isn't used to it.

Giving up is the worst thing to do.

                  try a sauna suit.

and by less food what would that be?

don't believe those fitness articles that tell you 2000 calories is unhealthy, because it sure as hell isn't. I could go as low as 400 calories a day if I was trying to lose weight.

you are bigger than me but don't be surprised how low you can go. Articles these days are made by fat people, but if eating so little is bad for you - why do skinny people live longer. Why can the human body go 30-40 days with 0 food at all?

so yea, really try to cut your diet down, obviously don't starve, drink lots of water..but a little hunger pain never hurt anyone.

                    go to the sauna; run a lot; stop eating to much meat & stuff with lots of proteins;

and if u want to learn some good boxingstuff; try to shadowbox every night till you sweat a lot; u can look for some vids on youtube!

Good luck buddy! keep the spirit alive!
