I’m considering getting more involved in boxing as a way to stay in shape, but also would like to be able to hold my own sparring. I see many people saying that if your right handed you should be an orthodox fighter. Because of having the stronger fist behind the other. I don’t see much conversation on the legs however.
I’ve had knee surgery when I was a kid and I didn’t go to physical therapy as advised. My physician said I was fine without it being I was so young. As I got older, I noticed that my right leg is stronger than my left. I’m working to get improved strength in the left. But from a boxing standpoint. Would it better for me to be a southpaw due to being able to push off this leg quicker? For better control moving and pivoting around the ring?
