Could be. But IF he shows up properly prepared Silva is going to get hurt. That's a big if (no pun intended).

Looks from this thread like I wasn’t the only one who underestimated Jr’s ability to fck things up. He was gasping for air in his corner after the first round.

Enjoyed this fight, Silva was amazing.

It was an enjoyable fight...agreed. It was fun to watch a 46-year-old MMA great putting on an impressive exhibition. He did not gas...he probably could have gone 10 rounds I'd say from the looks of it, and his footwork/head movement/punch volume was pretty damn good. He did a little bit of RJJ-esque showboating and even a Mayweather Jr elbow for good measure (or maybe it was just an Anderson Silva elbow)...LOL. As a matter of fact, if you watch his early boxing matches when he was much younger...he looked much better tonight.

I'm not saying this will be a launch into mainstream boxing for him...but I think he just bought himself an under-card spot on the next Tyson exhibition against JJR, and that would likely be a huge attraction bonus for the event with him on it...and judging from JJR's outing with Tyson I'll pick Silva for the win. RJJ had trouble with 10 -2 minute rounds, while Silva breezed though 8-3 minutes rounds - 4 minutes total longer than Jones went. Silva is really an amazing athlete. I'm very happy for him.
