What are some different ways of applying mental pressure on your opponent? What i mean by this is constantly keeping them thinking and on edge about if your gonna throw a punch, some examples of this is constantly coming forward, forcing them to retreat or stand their ground, and throwing feints which keeps them scared about if a punch is gonna be thrown, not applying mental pressure would be not coming to them, fighting them from the outside making it so that they aren’t always pressured and scared about if a punch is gonna be thrown, what are some other techniques of applying mental pressure?

But another way is to walk the ring controlling them with feints and jabs. Feint a jab and then jab. Shoot a jab and keep walking. Feint a jab, shoot a jab... right hand. Working them over. Make them look for/anticipate a jab then drop a bomb on their chin.
The jab is a great weapon. If you can land it than keep on landing it. They will start to focus only on stopping the jab and soon forget about the right hand. A good jab funks with their mind, never forget about supporting your jab with good feints..........Rockin'Last edited by Rockin'; 04-07-2021, 04:52 PM.

Cut off the ring as you move forward not in a straight line. Feints, head movement and lots of jabs.
Everyone wants to fight at their Rythmn or pace. Defend his punches but stay as close as possible and start punching and close the distance when he wants to breathe. Don’t let them fight at their rythmn

Ad some extra wrinkles to your game. Develop some new combinations. Or improve some aspects of your game that were lacking. When your opponent sees a few new things that they weren’t expecting that’s going to throw them off their game or maybe make them doubt their own preparation. If they see some things they weren’t exactly prepared for or trained to counter that will ad mental pressure. Like the kicks that Francis Ngannou landed on Stipe. We’ve all sat down for a test, and if the first question is nothing that you expected or studied for, then your whole confidence and mental psyche can erode.

The best way to apply mental pressure is to keep the jab active and hold mid range. Keeping the fight at midrange forces neither one of you to let your guard down.
What you are going to need is a stiff accurate jab. Even if it does not land clean everytime, if it is a stiff jab it will make someone freeze and start having to think. Once they start trying to adjust you can start upping the volume. More often than not most people will start trying to move around more. But every now and then you will someone hold ground against you. At this point it can get tough for both of you.

Fients, never let them set, force them to reset with your feints and then they try to press; Throw with em when they throw.
but in order to put hard mental pressure you need to a tough and skillfull person, just getting in their face and brawling means nothing if they can deal with it and you cant do anything else but that.
