I've heard winning is what all the pros use in training most of the time these days.
Whats the best boxing glove brand?

This is what I learned from this forum.
Winning are the best for training.
Cleto Reyes are the best for sparring and actual boxing.
I myself got some Grants that cost me nearly $100 USD but if I had known that Winning were the best for training I would have bought them. They're expensive but from what I heard worth the money.Comment

usually boxers who want to protect their hands more go with winning gloves or grant. everlast are good. and if your a puncher then you probably want to use reyes gloves.Comment

As for the thread question, hmm, well it's very subjective. I for one love my Winning gloves. Through the years, I've tried Cleto's, Fairtex, Ringside, Windy, Twins and currently I have Grant's as well.
Winning to me are the perfect gloves, there's not one negative thing I can say as far as craftsmanship is concerned they really had the boxer's hands in mind. The $$$ is the killer!
I love Ringside too, but, I only like their lace-up version, the pro model. I used it for everything for several years it was great.
Cleto is great as well, but, if you're pretty intense with your bag work/mitt work/sparring, then Cleto may not be the best choice, but it's a well made glove, the craftsmanship is great as well, but ergonomics, depending on the size of your hands, hmm, iffy.
As far as Thai made gloves, I rank 'em #1 Windy #1a Twins, then Fairtex(it ****** for me)
The Grants are good solid gloves I use 'em for sparring only though, I don't think it can take the kind of beating like my Winning can.Last edited by We want Floyd; 08-12-2009, 11:29 PM.Comment

Quit spewing misinformation ! The Title boxing sales rep on this site said it himself, Fighting Sports is in no way affiliated with Winning !

Well, I'm assuming that the thread starter is askin' about 16 oz gloves, I think the 16 oz Cleto's are made pretty big compared to other brands. But, if we're talkin' about wearing their 8-10 oz then I think it's fine. But, you don't really wanna be using 8-10 oz's for training.Comment

damn, get informed before talking crap. if i bought a pair of fighting gloves just to realize they're crap, i would pay to use them on you. don't spread false info like that bro, you're playing with other people's moneyLast edited by fdotorres; 08-13-2009, 09:04 AM.Comment

Grant's only $10 or $20 more expensive than the Reyes available through Ringside's catalog. Yeah, if you're talking Grant vs Mexican market Reyes ($100) I agree with you.
I'm a Grant guy myself, but I can admit the possibility that Winning's a better glove. I could even see arguments for why Reyes is as good, or better, if they actually fit your hands.
Flores is all but gone - the last pair of beaulieus are on sale on ebay and now that Dan Mosby passed, there will probably never be anymore Flores gloves.
Shevlin gloves are pretty nice.
When it comes to muay thai stuff it's King or Fairtex in first place, followed by Twins, Boon, and then Windy (which are the worst imho).Comment
