Being flat footed doesn't have to do with balance per say. It's more of a mobility thing.

Your problem is in the placement of your feet. You either have your feet too close together or you have your feet too far apart. Get your trainer/coach to help you figure out the right spot. Just ask him about it, then he will tell you if you should move your feet closer together or farther apart.

I have flat feet too, the big thing you'll have to watch out for is sore knees and sore feet, it shouldn't be ****ing up your balance just causing a bit of soreness.

Mooooooooooooooooostly you're born flat footed, and at this point not a lot you can do about it.
If poor arch support caused flat feet than pretty much everyone till the 20th cent. would have had flat feet.

really? not even for running? I used to be ok jogging 3 to 4 times a week, but when i started replacing some of the days for HIIT, I got shin splints, so I had to stop running all together... It sucks.. Going to get myself checked to see what I can do about it....

It causes my knees to pull slightly to the outside so I'm slightly more prone to sore knees after repeating motions. I do recommend using stuff like bikes and elliptical machines especially if you're a bigger guy too.
