Lotsa soft stretching, No heavy lifting and i also heard lying flat on hard surface for a while helps.

        Chiropractor

        or

Get a fine ass dime piece to stand on your back, butt ass naked. While you lay down on your stomach. Always works.

        Trust me.... I'm a doctor.

are you crouching to low when you are hitting the bag,if you are to low your back will stiffen up,try the more straight up approach, and see if your back gets better,

I had months of lower back pain after I got a desk job

here are a few tips u might find useful:

sit on hard medicine ball and roll around ur buttocks and hamstrings to release knots
stretch hamstrings, do not over stretch! Stretching muscles without strengthening them creates weak muscles
and MOST important, do core exercises, as many as u can and as often, this is a must I can't stress it enough. When ur core is strong it holds ur whole body posture, hence no strain on ur lower back. When u find ur sitting upright n ur stomach is pulled in while ur relaxed and not thinking about it, ur well on ur way! Gd luck!

have you straightened up yet,how is your lower lumbar doing, try not to get to low when you hit the bag, especially if you hit the bag in a swing that resembles someone swatting at a fly with a wild swinging like motion,if you are at a higher position not only will your back be relieved of the knotty like tension but your punches will improve also

do a lot of warm up! not just stretching. warm up too!
