This poster I3C727 has it right on. I used to train in the afternoon after work. I had friends who swore that training in the morning was the way to go so I tried it out. First few workouts were rough - felt shakey and sick to my stomach and no strength. I stuck with it and those days are a thing of the past. Now I sometimes think - wow - I'm sparring at 7:30 a.m. and some people are still asleep. I finish up at the gym and still get to work by 9 am with my training complete. It took some time but your body will gradually adjust and I think you will enjoy having your evening free from the sprints. Training in the AM also gets you to bed earlier and you don't have the tendency to stay up late or go out, etc b/c you have to get up the next day. Good Luck!!
    thanks man

yeah definitely something you would have to adjust to. Really depends on the person but physiologically people are ready to work out during the afternoon then any other time but it just isnt practically compared to everyones schedule. I never really had a problem switching it up and getting up at 5am to do my running or weights. Make sure you leave atleast an hour before after your meal before you go workout and keep the meal very light. I always say that there isnt any better breakfast then a bowl of old fashion oatmeal. Its quick to make and perfect for a pre workout meal. I eat it with milk and no sugar. Keep at it and youll improve. If it takes time then it will take time. nothing you can do but do it.

Your body isnt use to working that hard that early if you do it for a while im sure youll see an improvement until then maybe have a protein bar 30 minutes before run or if your desperate an energy drink.

Oatmeal is the best pre workout breakfast. Maple syrup and walnuts or raisens. Natural energy bar, forget the bars and shakes. Save this for later.

It probably isn't working for you because you had a big breakfast. Only have fruit and juice before sprints/runs in the morning and have a full breakfast after if needed. If your muscles are sore then have an omlette made with egg whites, onions, chillies, peppers and fried in olive oil with a dash of mexican seasoning.

I tried to do some sprints this morning (after breakfast) but I felt tired and exhausted after a few laps. This has happened a 2nd time.
Its only in the late afternoons where I have enough energy to do sprint work (anaerobic exercises) but i have to go to work.
Which really only leaves after work where I go to the gym to do weights.

I would do the sprints after work but Im tired from the long day

              Any advice?
I used to throw up on every morning run...
I was well known for it... I liked a beer lol...
The only way round it is to start drinking more water, perhaps adding a smidgen of salt..
              Electrolyte drinks are good to...
After doing this, you can become a maniac & climb lamp posts (slap the top!) while on the road..
You might laugh... But I use to do this.. (not too often though) lol...

Just keep it up dont give up after just 2 times. Its something new you know. Your not going to turn 13 wake up and be able to lift what the boxers lift or do what the boxers do you have to work at it. give it a week or so and you will start feeling better. I was the sameway. I wake up every morning at 5am and run a mile or a mile and a half depending on how i feel and than go back to sleep and than wake up around 10 or 11 and than eat some breakfast and than 12 or 1 go to the gym and hit it hard. It took me about a week to get used to it bc i love my sleep lol but you will man keep plugging away.
