    No, WTF attitude is justified. Those bicep exercises you are doing are a waste of time, they are not sport specific to boxing.

    I agree with weight training for boxing, with a focus on strength exercises with low reps to build explosive strength.

    My posts have been to help, not just to criticise. I have said you should focus on boxing skills, if you want to do weight training to maintain strength all the best to you. But like someone else said, it takes many months of solid training to become ready to box.

    Looking at your log it seems that boxing is secondary, your diet is too low in calories and carbs especially at beginning stages of boxing. You are not training for a title fight and have no need to train as such in calorie deficit. I repeat again, and this is good advice, take it or leave it - focus on boxing skills, minimise weight training to basic explosive compound lifts at heavy weight with low reps or dont do any at all.

    By the way as for the "kid" comment I am 32 years old and have been boxing since I was a kid on and off. Dont confuse helpful advice for insults and good luck with your training.

      judging from this guy's work out he is more dedicated towards bodybuilding and is only flirting with boxing. he probly wants to look muscular while able to pick up some of the basics of this sport, I guess he is doing it mainly for that image of a muscular fighter (trying to emulate the media hype, ufc wanna be)

      one can be a bodybuilder and take up boxing for cardio workout, I doubt he has any real aspirations in boxing.

        i was putting time and thought into trying to help u, cuz u know what? u need it. i dont care who is training u, as far as they are concerned u might just be another guy helping them pay their bills, and looking at the way u train, i cant see it any other way.

        i wasnt least bit dissrespectful, i was honest. something u wont get a whole lot from even in amateur boxing circles. i was trying to help u out, so u wouldnt waste time and effort doing things that wont make u a better fighter.

        but now i see i was the one wasting my time, u clearly dont have the mentality to be a fighter. far to sensitive. ive been slapped and thrown out of the gym by my trainer infront of everybody in the gym. i thought about going somewhere else, but i didnt. my trainer was doing the right thing. id rather get slapped in front of a few ppl i know in the gym then knocked out cold in a room full of strangers. and thats were i was heading. but my trainer cared enough to not let it happen.

        your trainer might be a good one, that doesnt mean he cares about u. all i saw was a guy that was heading for unconsciousness with his BS regimen and tried to help. if you are too much of a ***** to take critisism then **** it. when a 152lb guy flattens u in sparring cuz he spent time boxing when u was posing in a mirror it will be well deserved. im not the only one trying to help, u dismissed everyone, and u will regret it one day when u wake up on the canvas cuz the size of your bicep didnt help u avoid a left hook.

          and another thing, this is boxing. u dont get respect of the bat. non boxers might give u respect due to your size alone, but when it comes to boxing u need to earn it in the ring. even though i didnt acctually dissrespect u in any way. as for me supposably not saying what i said here to youre face, LOL!

          i cant tell u how many guys like u we get coming thru man. kids with big muscles who watched a rocky movie and got overexcited. if they think as much of themselfs as u do, they get put in their place and taught their role real quick. i put a few of em down and out myself with a good liver shot. hopefully whoever teaches u a lesson will be eaqually nice and not gun for the head.

          boxing isnt a game, nobody plays boxing. when ppl get hit they get hurt, and some of the damage follows them for the rest of their lives. i could tell by your regimen u might be losing a couple of braincells in the near future and tried to help out, if nothing else u wouldnt waste your time. but apparently u are too much of a spoiled punk to handle critisism.

                I guess trainers selected by Freddie Roach that work under him and literally carry his reputation don't know ****. This according to some 18 year quickly to assume and eager to come accross as a wise wisdom speaker.

                ***** plz u disrespected me in your very first post to me, i'm no sensitive sucker but reality is you only disrespect when you are disrespected and the reality is you are just some punk 18 year old *****.

                And its funny how you talk about me getting hurt in sparring as I have already sparred some seasoned fighters at over 200lbs and I haven't gotten hurt.

                Honestly just leave and quit embarrassing yourself.

                  Holyfield was a heavyweight..he had to bulk up. You are training well but you don't need any type of concentration weight lifting.

                    im usally the person that works on condition frist then my skills.....i don't mind lifting weights cause i do that as well. but don't go and lift all the time and not include any skills in the training. you gotta blance this stuff out
