    Facesaver Headgear?

I broke my nose a few times and don't wanna mess it up too bad so i was thinkin about this kind of headgear. Like the one pacquiao was using sparring for hatton. Anyone use it, if so pros cons, how is it?

    Pro: protects your face more
Con: Can't see as well. Also, since you know punches to the face won't hurt you, you may unintentionally drop your hands a bit, leaving you open when you switch to regular headgear for a fight.

Does the Fg-5000 protect you from hits to the eyes? Can your eyes or your nose get hit anyway?

I have a retinal tear and I was wondering if FG-5000 could allow me to rise again on the ring...

No because your eyes will get hit at some point. In competitions you will wear small regulation headguards. Check with your optician!

What about breathing? Is that OK. If so, I might try one out

If you have permanent serious eye injury you should probably stick to sparring and not compete. Its not uncommon to get hit in the eye in fights so I don't think anyone should risk getting blind just to have some competition in their lives. It's not like you have the chance to become world champion, right?
