How long was it until you had your first amature fight?

Took me 6 months started in October fought this past March won a majority decision. I was luck because I had the #1 ranked amateur for my weight class in the country in my gym and I sparred with people bigger than me so I went into the ring with the thoughts that only God would stop me beating this man, I busted his lip nose and knocked out his gumshield knocked him down in the 1st and yet it was still a MD.

You best the best amature in your class in the UK after only 6 months training. What weight would that be?

no I was training with the best amateur at my weight theres no way I could do that, become the best in 6 months

I started boxing like last week and my trainer said I should fight in september or october. I've been doing really good better then alot of people he said on their first week. What do you guys think wait longer or take the chance and fight for the experience

about 2months, it was fast but the guys i was put with were also new like me.

lol, i finished my training session on Friday and my instructor came up to me and said i should think about entering in the amature fight night in about 3 weeks.. I was like wait... wut??? lol

He told me to tell him what I thought about it this week... I think Im gonna wait a month or two.. i just wanted to see how long most ppl take until their first fight

and @ assassin.. i started sparring about 3 weeks ago.. I've only sparred against my instructor and another dude that has a fight coming up in 2 weeks.

I think I held up pretty good. I'm 6'0 about 210 pounds and I used to play college rugby so I'm in decently good shape. Plus I'm a southpaw lol

prepare to get your ass whoop if youll enter the amateurs this early

i think it is ok for new ones to get in the ring, as long the oponents are also new like them.

my first bout was after 4 months of trainin... i was tooo green...i fought with a dude with 2 fights supposovly but i saw the dudes book and he had 5 fights lol.. bastards... it happend since it was his hometown... i lost ofcorse but i gave him a fight made him bleed

my advice to u is.... do boxing 4 a year then youll b ready... i wish i woulda did that...
but trainers jsut wanna take people to fight... just chill take ur time.. just tell ur trainer u aint realy yet...
