fighting shorter people

hi im tall and like to use my reach what do u think is best when the shorter person gets inside should i hold them in a clinch any tips ?

Clinching is it. But don't do it excessively, it gives the impression that you don't really want to fight. Mix it up a lil bit, work on your inside game, even if you're the taller guy. Who says tall guys can't **** on the inside, just ask Rid**** Bowe.

The best clinch strategy I've seen was what Shane Mosley applied in his fight against Margarita, eventhough Shane was the shorter man, he made me like clinching in that fight.

A good close range punch for the tall guy to use is the uppercut.

People shouldn't be trained with clinching as a strategy..

as a backup strategy they should. even if it is boring.
However obviously the taller fighter should try not to fight on the inside by keeping the shorter out with the jab and hitting them with uppercuts as they come in.

I love to use a pivot hook aghainst a smaller fighter.

they come in, i pivot on my left leg moving my body to the left while firing a lefthook.

as a taller fighter, avoid the head!
