    One word....Powerball.

Somebody recommended it to me off this forum and it's great. May not help with the speed, but the strength increases are supposed to be amazing.

i also do one minute on one minute off for 5 sets/rounds shadow boxing with 3.5 kg in each hand... it would be interesting to read what folk say about it? what is a powerball?

Punching with weights will make you stronger and be able to punch longer but not necessiaraly faster.

personally i think that you need to know how fast you allready punch like say 20 jabs in 10 seconds then just work on improving that try 21 then 22 then 23 ect... or take a pound weight and say you jab 15 times in 10 seconds well then try to improve that.

If your just standing there thinking your punching faster you probably are not.

Power ball, amazing for hand wrist and forearm not going to make you faster but lots stronger.

power ball or dyna flex are gyroscopes that are off balance so you have to fight it with your wrist to keep it steady and spinning but at like 9000 rpms its like doing wrist circles with 25 lbs

punching with dumbells could make you faster if you shadowbox fullspeed afterwards. It definitely gives you power.

no it does'nt help with speed, it'll help with power but try not to overdue it or you might pull/strain somethin
