      Go on youtube and look up the exercises that people do to prepare themselves to be able to do the human flag. Mad core strength right there.

          could i do these instead of just doing weight training like chin ups for biceps and wide grip for shoulders and back ?

            That is pretty much what I have done. I have gone from mostly weight training to cardio and body-weight oriented/core exercises and my body has responded well. Much more functional and efficient now.
