Iam 5'6'' and weigh 135. Should i try to loose some weight to get to a lower weightclass for amateurs? I'dont really have much fat to loose, i think i would have to loose muscles if thats the case. My thoughts are that because i prefer to fight on the outside i should try to get down in weight to increase my reach compared to my opponents. Is it worth the effort or should i stay at my current weight?

Interesting question. Well, I suppose you can drop weight, maybe not fat but water weight. Dehydration if you didn't catch my drift. Thats what most people do, drop water weight because boxers typically have low body fat %.
Sauna suit and start sweating it out. You will just need to weigh in at 130 and lower. Then come fight night, you will be rehydrated and back up to 135+.

I personally wouldn't lose more weight than what you are at right now. I'm about 157, 5 foot 9, and have low bodyfat as it is (around 6 or 7 percent). In your case, if you go any lower, I'm thinking you might be putting your organs at risk with a potential body shot. I'd stay at the weight that you're at now.
