Winning's are great gloves if you're someone that throws atleast 1,000 punches per workout ( with all the gloves I've tried, Winning's are it). If not, go with Ringside IMF's bag gloves.

As someone had already stated, Winning's are the best gloves in the business, hell, they're the best boxing equipment in the industry! But the price is ridiculous. But, if you're a competitive amateur or pro then Winning's are the glove of choice.

In terms of hand protection, I'd go with the IMF Tech but they are boring as anything to use.

            Winning gloves are my favorite.

I injured one of my right metacarpals using the ringside IMF tech in sparring (i landed a very hard right hand onto his upper forehead/skull while he was ducking down). this was back in november 2007.

recently, i used the same 16oz imf tech training gloves on the waterbag, and i felt some soreness in my right hand still.

with the Winning gloves, i dont notice any pain at all. i even threw a right punch @ the wall (winning gloves and 180inch wraps, of course), and i still didnt notice anything.

            Definitely worth it.

Probably end up getting 2 pairs.
I wonder if I get the 16oz in the 14oz profile if the sticker on the gloves will say 16 or 14....
I don't remember there being a sticker, but I might just be forgetting. Out of my 3 gloves, shevlin, casanova, and G&S, My shevlin's which are 16s feel the lightest. The one in the middle are my G&S, which are also 16s, and the Casanovas, 14s, feel the heaviest. I dunno, mexican gloves have always felt heavy to me for some reason. My bros reyes gloves which are 14s feel just as heavy as my Casanovas.

If I had my choice again, I would have gone with either lace up, or velcrow and not both. I think you save a few dollars this way too.

                Thanks for the feedback!

I think the "both" option is for guys who'd otherwise do lace ups with a glovers assist - so the palm can be adjustable, but the wrist a little more convenient.

Your statement about the wrist support does worry me though, so I'm trying to think of the best option for it.

I asked the glove ounce label question because I'm hoping to use these in a competition where 16s are mandatory, & I need an easy way to show the judges.

ive only used everlast, boes, rival, hayabusa (or somethin) and maybe a couple others.
for bags i like the rival bag gloves, i donno how much they cost tho.
and for sparring i use some old ass everlast 16 ozs ive had for five years. i used hayabusa or somethin a while ago and they were really really nice. a tight fit so it was great for sparring.
