  • Im a lazy ****

This last month I've trained a wopping 8 days...I started a new job and I usually work 3-11. Does anybody else work similar hours? What do you do that lets you squeeze training in?Im also starting a new semester at college.

Im kicking my own ass right now and Im forcing myself to train no matter what time it is, I just hope I can keep it up, maybe thats all I have to do is kick my own ass. This is the kind of thing I normally do but I make minor changes every month or so:

    DAYS 1, 3, 5
    -Morning
    Handspeed (maybe) 15 minutes
    Anaerobic Conditioning 12-20 minutes
    -Evening
Skills (gym or 8 x 3 minute rounds shadowboxing & drilling with and without handweights and possibly a few rounds of heavybag too) 45 minutes if the gym isnt open, otherwise its about 2 hours
Plyometrics (12+ sets for the whole body) time varies but I take long breaks
    Core Circuits 15-20 minutes

    DAYS 2, 4
    -Morning
Other (different kinds of drills, changes with my mood)
    Cardio 30-45 minutes
    -Evening
Skills (same as the other day but with 4 rounds shoulder conditioning [endurance]) 45-120 minutes
Calisthenics (usually weighted or hard variations) about 30-45 minutes, longish breaks

Assuming I cant make it to the gym how would you fit this in or what would you change?
I just hate losing the fitness Ive worked hard to gain and hate that Ive been so lazy. Any tid bits or ideas would be appreciated.

Nothing quite as satisfying as a bull**** over exaggerated workout routine.

    Here is mine:

    Wake up at 29:00 o'clock

Drink 3 gallons of raw eggs.

    14 mile run

    3 hours jumprope

    150 rounds of shadow

Maybe some rounds with weights if I am not warmed up enough.

Atleast 359 rounds on the bag making sure to throw atleast 212 punches a round.

After that I jump rope for another 54 rounds.

If its a sparring day I spar 15 rounds with every person in the gym.

To cool down I do 22256 knuckle pushups, 1115223 crunches and 334234 pull-ups.

I use to do more but I have a job now so I cant train as much.

I feel as if i'm getting lazier, as it's getting blistering cold i'm finding i'm being a ****** about it and haven't been running in a few weeks now! It's annoying, at Uni' I find it hard to always end up at training because I dedicate to both my Uni' club and the City club, which I did on purpose to increase training sessions but on a Thursday the Uni' training precedes the City by just enough time to walk there, means I often end up skipping a Thursday City training because it'd mean i'm out from 4:30pm to 10pm, and i'm too knackered. Guess we've just got to stop writing about it and go do it.

Yes, yes, yes haha. I haven't read what was put up here as his workout but so many times i've read people's workouts on here and I don't acknowledge them. So many people say they do this ridiculous amount of training everyday, I think the reality is, they've probably done it on a Saturday, then possibly, though maybe not, a Sunday and swear to themselves that this is their new routine which they'll stick to, of which they promptly post it up as their routine. They then of course fail to maintain it. Sometimes some people on this website do seem abit ridiculous, i'm sure there are really dedicate people out there but it's like every other person on here. I remember someone wrote about doing 400 press ups in a day (or something to that figure), many others wrote that was nothing and how they do like a 1000 or some crap. To be honest with you all, 200, broken up into segments, will do me very nicely and i'm not even saying I do that many.

Your an idiot. Im not making any of that up. If its beyond your 'ability' to do that amount its not my fault, its not even that much if you consider the gym here is only open 3 days a week and since I split it up into 2-3 sessions a day. The reasons for the long rests in my plyo's and bodyweight exercises is because I do them while surfing the net or playing video games. Go bleed out your ass some more.

Maybe if you worked a little harder you wouldn't suck so bad.

Alot of people here seem to think Im full of ****. Just say the word and I'll post links to a workout logs I've kept for some time at rosstraining.com. Theres dates to the posts so you can tell Im not just making it up to show you up. However I do doubt alot of peoples routines as well because I know theres alot of fat lazy liars on the net. I am not one of them...why would I have to exaggerate if what I do is already "unbelievable"?

Giving specific advice for an individual boxer should be done by the local expert. Nobody in an internet forum can say what is good for you. In general terms, however, put yourself on a schedule. The need is to eat, sleep and train at the same time everyday. It does not really matter what time you do these things just as long as it is consistent. Don't lose heart, diligence will pay off sooner or later.

I've made other workout logs under different names and such when I was messing around with different styles of working out, these are a couple of the ones under the name "(Insert Name Here)". I had a 17 (or so) page one under another name and a few 4-8ish page ones under yet another name. I dont know why I make so many, just get bored I guess.

First Log Ever from when I first started boxing, my training gets harder as it goes: http://www.rosstraining.com/forum/vi...er=asc&start=0

A really short log thats kind of in the middle of the whole time frame: I went broke and stopped working out for about 2 weeks after this 1: http://www.rosstraining.com/forum/vi...107&highlight=

                  Current Log: http://www.rosstraining.com/forum/vi...er=asc&start=0

                  So fauk you shawn
