    First you must learn proper technique, then you must practise it until it becomes automatic and instinctive. Thinking on your feet, as it is often called, amounts to finding ways to probe your opponent's weakness and then exploiting openings. You should not have to "remember everything" you have been taught because to do so means that you never learned it properly to begin with. Boxing happens too fast to think your way through the various techniques.
