What weight gloves do ya'll train in???

I currently use 10's. Which isn't good I know. But, I am upgrading to some Everlast ones and don't know whether to go for the 14's or 16's. 18's would be too heavy for me. I am 55kg lol.

you're not supposed to use anything less than 16.

Alright then 16's it is. Thanks for the replies. Or maybe I could get some 18's. Is there a danger in getting too heavy gloves for ya? Like aches etc. or all speed and power gains as soon as ya whip them 10's on?

Damn... 14 oz felt a bit heavy, 16 are a monster i could imagine. You can't probably go a lot of rounds with high intensity with 16 or 18 oz gloves. I used 10's but bought 12's about a month ago.

get 16's and then when you get used to those, use 18's - it'll only make your hands faster when you drop down to the lighter gloves when you actually are in your fights. i'm thinking like in 3-4 more months i'll get a pair of 18oz's.

I use 14s, I shadow box with light weights. I dont think you need to use 16 oz +
                gloves at all.

I also shadow box with light weights but I think he meant for sparring.

I would say 16's these are what I use. They do feel huge to start with but you'll be used to them after a few sessions.

if ur using 16-18 oz gloves before a fight its just ruining your timing stick with some lighter ones, I think 14 is enough.
