That would depend on how hard the sparring is, but I take your point.

i used to train with 16 oz gloves but they went **** on me so i thought id try 14 oz gloves, and have been working out good for the last few months. but i thinkin of going back up to 16 oz since it would improve hand speed.

Spar with 16 oz and hit the mitts and the heavy bag and the speed bag with the 12 oz

I train with 14oz gloves on everything. We usually spar with 14oz too.

train with everlast weighted gloves - which are 12ozs then plus the weights so their heavy as ****. spar with 16ozs
I find any gloves above 16oz are to big of make, and dont fit my hands properly so its hard to clench a fist - i fight arnd middleweight

I got a few pairs of gloves. Normally for sparring I would use 16oz gloves(I have Reyes). However theres a defect on my 16s on the thumb and it puts a ton of pressure on it only allowing me to spar without pain for about 2-3 rounds.

I got a pair of some Everlast 14oz that are very similar style to the Reyes I normally use. They are very comfertable and I like them alot.

For the heavy bag and pads I use 12 oz Reyes gloves.

I also have a pair of Everlast bag gloves that I use for the double end bag, I think they are 8oz gloves.

                    I fight at Jr. Lightweight.

i use 10 oz for sparring as is par guys who weigh 25 kg+ more than me so its fairer if they use 16's and i use 10's. for bagwork or pads i use thin bag mitts or sometimes 10's
