i just got a large grant pro cup in the mail and the green 16 oz pro training gloves. the gloves are sweet, but lets talk no-foul protector....

this thing does not cover the ***els too well. i put it on and tapped myself lightly and it killed. i was "hanging" below the edge of the cup and can't seem to position myself inside the cup because it doesn't hook under that much at all like, say the Reyes cup.

and how am i supposed to fit my junk into that tiny pouch in the cup?!? you couldn't fit a peach in there... I tried "hooking the cup under" to get it underneath my boys but its not really working all that smoothly. do i have to get an athletic cup to where under this bad boy or what?!? i mean it was expensive and i dont really want to return it and go through the hassle, but it seems weird to have to wear a cup under a cup.....

anyone who has the grant pro no-foul, how do you deal with this problem?!? if a light tap hurts my boys, imagine what a hook or uppercut on the cup will do- yiiiikes!

You should buy the cup from title much cheeper does the same job and is also Usa boxing approved. Title is basically the same thing as everlast owed by the same company.

thanks for info everyone- i was worried this thread was dead... the title **** looks like it is snug- maybe one day i will try it out, but i am broke now... i don't want to return because its a huge hassle to ship back and forth, etc, and i feel i can resolve it through tailoring, wearing a n athletic cup underneath, or some other creative means. probably tailoring is the best option. i also just purchased the compression short/cup from title- the shock doctor ones. im ****ing broke now, so no more boxing gear, lol. at least everything looks tight, haha. ill get some pictures soon. please upload the picture of the "butt strap" tailoring job so I can see how that worked out.

after getting my grant large cup altered it fits perfectly. no need for the cup underneath it (which just seems redundant to me) and now the cup "hooks under" enough for ample support. no pics, but i took my first vids today at the gym. one is of sparring. i ****ed up dudes shoulder with a right hand so theres only about 2:30 of footy, plus the cameraman was having problems with the camera.

i'm the guy in the green grant pro cup. i was using a lot of movement because im in better shape than the other guy, plus he has a crazy chin and lots of power (his nickname at the gym is margarito, lol). also, im still being cautious of my nose, which was broken a few weeks back.

theres also a video of some padwork in which im wearing the cup. other gear includes an everlast facesaver (the gyms, not mine), and a brainpad double mouthguard. im wearing compression shorts without the cup in it. gloves are imf 18 oz. he's wearing a fightgear traditional headgear, a grant campeon no-foul cup (old school in red), and imf international 18 oz gloves....

                  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QSZE-4z4GQ - sparring

this is my first video, and i dont really plan on posting more until i have a few fights. obviously i still have a ways to go....

as for my review, in addition to the snug fit (post-alteration), i find it really easy to move in this cup. it is really light too. a little thick, but light. it increased my waist circumference from about 32" to 41"... i can wear Medium everlast trunks without a cup, but with the cup, it has to be XL, or even XXL...
