Ill give u an answer :P

yeah of course it helps.. Just kuz you're waking up real early and sleeping after doesnt change anything.. Your still getting your roadwork done.. And plus you'll feel great when you wake up knowing you ran like 3 hoours ago in the pitch dark.

I think you're better off doing one or two sessions of running in the day and getting a good nights sleep which will aid recovery rather then waking during mid sleep and going for a run... You will be very tired and not get as much done as you would of done in the day, and in the process you've reduced your sleep is key for recovery. That's my thoughts.

I agree. Nothing wrong with going to bed early though and getting the same amount of sleep. I do cross country running and prefer to do hat at night with a headlamp. But if I sacrifice sleep I am screwed. For me, it is even more important than diet.

This is something which I have found is paramount with regards keeping in shape and improving. It's easily as important as diet and working out. Without ample sleep time (and I'm talking 7-8hrs) I don't think your body and muscles will recover enough.

Personally I wouldn't disrupt my sleep at 4am to go for a run. There must be some other point in your day where you can squeeze in 30-45 mins of raodwork.

sleep for me is critica,l i get pissed if i dont get at least 9 hours. waking up at 4am would jus mean id sleep at 7pm. but this is irrelvent my question was more regarding whether sleeping after 30 mins of roadwork for a couple of hours would have any effect, positive or negative.

Yeah, sorry man. I kind of have a habit (unintentional) that I drift from the main point.

We know how important sleep is, so I would have thought an extra 30 mins wouldn't have any adverse effect BUT I'm not an expert in this so don't take my word for it!

Floyd can shut up. He made a big thing in the press conferences that "i'm trainign at 2am!" blah blah blah.

What it failed to mention was that he just trained at night and slept all day.

                BIG DEAL.

I would have to say negative!

your waking to run then going back to sleepisn't neccesarily going to hurt you, but it would probably do you more good to get 8-9 uninterrupted hours of sleep then run

of course there is no negative effects sleeping after a run!!!

you sleep for 6 hours, wake up run for a half hour, then sleep again. nothing in the two hours sleep after a run will harm you at all!!

i dont know why you think it would "bizzle"...
