No I don't. I didn't say it in the post because I want to avoid "go to a gym" advice. I know I should go to a gym but the only decent one near me is still pretty far away (I can't drive a car yet). So I'm waiting until the vacation to check it out as I got my exams soon now.
So currently I'd just like all the advice I can get BEFORE I go to the gym...
Thanks in advance
Would I be right in saying you write with your left hand?
No, I'm right handed.
In the first video I taped (long video) I threw more straights and right hands. But after seeing it I noticed I barely threw any hooks so that's why I made this second (short one)
The thing is for some reason the long video disapeared so I could only post this one :P
First major point to make is get to a boxing gym! Looks like you got some natural power, especially in that left body hook. Dont get big headed though, your technique for the jab at the start is shocking. When your throwing it, snap it out with your arm fully extended, your shoulder will provide a natural block to your chin if you keep it tucked down, same with your right, throw it all the way out with some nap, chin down, and let your shoulder be your natural guard.
Your right hand is comin down and exposing your chin when your throwing the hooks too, make sure you keep it tucked in place, and your elbow/arm tucked in protecting your ribs.
Its just that your left appears stronger than your right, bit of a De La Hoya/Henry Cooper effect from out of the orthodox stance.
Your obviously athletic and seem to have deceptive power, you dont need people coming on and slagging your technique when your starting out, so look to join a boxing gym.
Get to a boxing gym. You cant even punch straight. And your stance is too square. How can you say he has good power he is pushing the bag. If he a was hitting it correctly it wouldn't swing that much.
Thanks for the advice so far.
To p4pking, I'm not pushing the bag though even if it may look like that.
My body just stays turned the same way after I punch. I didn't know I should turn it back...
About the straights: I know that looked kinda terrible. I guess my range from the bag was just to small. But when I get in a far range in order to fully enxtend my arms I just touch the bag a little and don't really "hit" it. Any idea how I can solve this?
PS: about the boxing gym. Please read my first reply where I responded to this. So please stick to advice which I can apply at home.
