Why do boxers get bent noses? what can u do to prevent it?

most fighters that have been around have had their noses broken so many times that they just get the cartilage in the nose removed because its so ****ed up and then it cant get broken anymore. hence, the ****ed up looking noses.

Only person that answered my question i obviously know not to get hit much ffs i was just wanting a more detail description about how it happens i was curious.
