    this is my exact point,

your hookes are noting like you say they are,

they arnt short and crisp with lots of leg power,

please go back and rewatch, they look teribly weak and slow like your patting the bag in the side,

you just wont acsept no for an answer ,

please anyone who thinks im been wrong, go back and watch the vids and look at the hooks,

firstly i think it comes down to personal expirience ,

e.g some poeple look at your vid and might see you working hard and might see you very talented because your better than the standard that they see at their own gym. whereas others who go to really hard working top class gym would look down on you.

e.g. at my gym we do circuits with timed rounds, e.g. 2mins on bags ,2mins skipp,2mins shadow box, 2mins bag, we do tun ups and ground work wich is like really hard exericeses of sit ups , push ups , burpees and others that really push yourself to the limit,

when we are on bag a timer would ring and everyone imdiatly begins working hard, hitting moving, upper cuts ,hooks, rights everything, people going to aba finals and other all working really hard and look great, when the timer ends people gasp for air and move on to the nex thing in the circuit,

so if you were at my gym by the looks of thing you would fall behind as you seem to set yourself at a slow relaxed pace ,

like in your second vid, wtf is that guy in the red doing, fair enough if he is just and oldish guy who trains, but dont tell me he will be entering any competition or anyting, he was litrally pushing and stroking the bag, and then you came on and thats what you do aswell,

you push the bag, when you jab their is no snap just ad firm push, you seem to repeat the same move where you circle to the left and jab thee times.

so thats how i see it,
you will see things diffrent to me and others because your not used to the standard others work at,

        other may agree,

e.g 1 dacatas would probably say your not working hard enough because he has good body and is a good boxer and wudnt be where he is now working like you do, because he is used to working at good gym

wheras a boxing newbie to the forum may look at you and think wow because he is not used to ur standard.

do you get me, im just trying to expalin why we may have a diffrence in oppion....
Oldish is an understatement. He is 74.

The reason I know I am good... My sparring partner just won the*censored* and I am very competitive with him.

I place an emphasis on quality. If you can't do it slow, there is no way in hell you can do it fast. My technique is very polished. I am a very technical fighter, I have solid fundamentals, I get good leverage on most of my punches.

I know I am good, I am competitive with a National Champion, and other very good amateurs, so I am sure you can understand why I am a little irritated when people tell me I look like a beginner...

I agree my left hooks arnt, My knuckle is injured. Turning on my left hooks would be ******. Take a look at my right hook, and the right hooks to body at the end of the second video. Those were delivered crisp as were many others.

No, his technique don't look beginnerish. He punches with fair speed tbf, and the 'lack of power' fair enough but the shots make a thud when they hit the bag. Kinda like the sort of **** that would snap your head back.

Footwork is good and fast, occasionally the feet line up a bit or come close but thats it. I can get the backlash cause you do seem to be arrogant a bit Shawn

Thats what i gotta say. Being overly critical of someone just cause they don't George Foreman his punch bag is a bit silly imo

but hes come on saying he sparrs with national champion and he backfires at everyone who critqes him,

he says he knows he is good, and calls people ******s in oter thread and calls people arsehols who call him slow,

he dose look slow and weak and like he is going at 5% effort

                    *censored*

I made a mistake. The guy in the first video with headgear on is 74. The guy in red, I don't know how old he is, but he is from the WildCard. He is pretty lazy in and out of the ring, kind fights like James Toney. Not very clean, but he goes the job done.

Yeah, I understand the backlash. People do not like being told that they are wrong, even when they are. People offer me critiques, and I explain to them what I am doing, and why I am doing it, and somehow that makes me a beginner, for knowing what I am doing and why I am doing something.

You make a good point about footwork. Footwork is easily the best measure of how long someone has been in the sport, or what level they are on. People punch different, footwork is pretty universal.
