This was the suggestion a friend of mine gave me for losing weight..

    60% carbs 30% protien 10% fat.

i asked him what kind of carbs adn she said spegetti and breads etc.

for protien chicken turkey adn roast beef but limit this

fat should come from all the food i ate.

So what is your take on his advice? i'm 155 adn i need to get down to 152 and i'm already having trouble dropping that weight even when i run and go to the gym on the same day.

i know what you mean - doing everything correct but the weight aint dropping! it sucks.
Up the protein and fat by 5%, i have researched a lot about this and majority suggests that fat intake should be between 15-20% it should not drop below 15%, GOOD fat is needed. (fish fat, fish oil, fat from nuts and olive) carbs should come from whole grain, spaghetti is made from white flour and thats not what you need - whole grains; brown rice, wheat breads and oatmeal

Uhh...I dont think thats right at all.

Id recommend a low carb diet, with one giant cheat day a week. Cut out all but complex carbs, make sure you eat clean, eat lots of lean protein and veggies. Take fish oil.

would this diet include fruit? or would it eliminate it entirely?

Yeah, this seems a bit whack. I mean in the scheme of things 60c 30p & 10f woulc equate to 10grams of fat per 100g intake - waaaay too high I think.

well if i were to reduce the amount of fat would a 60 carb 35 protien 5 fat work well if i'm trying to lose weight?

does that mean i'm okay to eat those chocolae chip cookies and strawberry cakes i always wanted? i have two weeks to drop 3 undropable lbs... any advice would be great.

            breakfast for me (normally)
            2 hard boiled egg whites
2 whole wheat toast with margerine
            1 banana or orange

            snack
            1 apple

            lunch
            turkey sandwhich on whole wheat
            rice
            corn
            salad

            dinner
            tuna sandwhich
            veggies
            apple
            orange

            6:00pm gym

There's some lads on here who have great tips & suggestions on nutrition but your typical daily diet you just listed looks okay to me BUT get rid of the margarine - it's loaded with hydrogenated oils (trans fats) Much better to get a quality butter and only use a very small amount. I would possibly add a couple of bananas or protein drink after your gym session so you're not losing the muscle gained.

And, NO! Keep away from the temptation of cookies and stuff. One will just lead to two etc, etc. I've said it before, all you need is discipline.

Oh, and drink water. And lots of it!

Try to keep the amount of carbs low towards the end of the day.
I buy packs of chicken that you can eat out of the box. It's low calorie, zero carb and makes for a quick snack when you don't have time/can't be bothered to cook. I usually have this as my last meal of the day. If you prefer turkey than go with that instead.

I personally would have a bit more fat. Just make sure it's good fat. I find having a few nuts during the day serves as a quick snack that fills a hole. They are high calorie but if you're sensible about it they are beneficial.

You seem to be having a lot of bread. I know that whole wheat is better for you than white but 2 slices of toast and 2 sandwiches a day seems a bit much for me.
